There is no prospect of his no longer being Labour leader come the next general election. If the socialist purity squad want to moan, that's fine, but nothing good can happen until we get the Tories out.

I mean - the options didn’t have to be either a Cameron-style right wing Labour party or a puritanical socialist left wing party.

I think most people when they elected Starmer as leader were hoping for somewhere in the middle.
