The problem isn’t the speed at which the monarchy slimmed down but that Charles eliminated 50% of the working royals under 45 and now the average age is 68 & the ones over 70 do two-thirds of the work. But I’m glad we can all agree that Harry’s family was always included in the plan.

Notice she says they never thought they would be without Harry and his "family". I am sure she is not referring to Archie and Lilibet as potential working royals, but she cannot bring herself to mention Meghan's name in any positive capacity.

He eliminated the ones who were younger and more open to making changes to the monarchy. Chuck's 'slimming down' was merely an attempt to consolidate his own status. His ego can't cope with other members being more popular than him.
