Just a casual reminder that in 1869 it was decided to have 9 Supreme Court justices because there were 9 Circuit Courts.

Now there are 13 Circuit Courts. So what exactly are we waiting for?

I'm pretty sure it's more complicated than that, but it's a very alluring idea.
Typically whenever someone suggests that there's an easy answer to a complex problem, it's because they don't understand the issues or they're missing essential information.

It actually isn't more complicated than that. Per the Constitution, Congress has the power to determine the size of the court as well as what types of cases the court has jurisdiction over.

Exactly. The Congress. Can you see the US Congress as it's currently constituted doing that? Even if Dems had the majority in both Houses, how much of a majority is required? Will obstructionist Dems vote according to the party's wishes? Many have stated that they will not. So, it's complicated.
