Biden has nothing to do with court size.

The Constitution gives that power to congress (House and Senate)

WE HAVE NOWHERE NEAR 60 VOTES in the Senate
We DON"T control the House.

I am begging, begging ppl to understand Biden is NOT a king, He cannot "make it so"
AmericaNDN @LeeWheelock
Why is Biden afraid that expanding the Supreme Court will appear political when politics are obviously determining the decisions of this court? Saving the integrity of SCOTUS is what it is. Let's introduce it in Congress and see where it goes. Would he veto it?

When the Democrats win the house back and get 65 seats in the senate and Biden is re-elected Roe v Wade will be codified! The John Lewis Election law will be codified then the Supreme Court will be 13 Judges one judge for each circuit in America!

Teach TEACH! Say it loud for all those in the back…talking!

Some of us need to recognize what she’s saying! Too many of us, take the media bait and vent our frustration on Biden too quickly. When we need to take a minute to assess the reality of the tools & people he has to work with!

It's not about being afraid of politics or the issue of the filibuster (which could be ended with one more D vote in the next Congress). If Biden runs on expanding the court, he'd get hammered by the GQP and jeopardize his re-election. Once he's in office and can't run again, all bets are off.

Don't have to worry if he'll veto it or not bc dems don't have 60 votes in the Senate and don't have the majority in the house. Take Biden of this and focus on congress first.

But we're never going to get there if we don't at least start talking about it as a possibility. He shouldn't shut it down completely; he should be priming the pump and warning the GOP that *nothing* is off the table.

My take is a little different. If the focus is on Biden, then, it becomes "Biden doesn't do anything" rather than, we have a legislative body that can legislate, and we have voters who need to understand they need to elect Dems.

Well said. It's understandable to be frustrated, but we must understand what is possible. Biden, and Bernie for that matter, are also probably right that this would politicize the court even more, causing a tit for tat going forward, amd like we are dealing with with impeachment and investigations.

I’m so tired of hearing this whining from some “progressives”. Biden cannot do this by himself. It would take Congress. So get out and vote!! Also, what kind of precedent would this move create? What would prevent the next Republican President from expanding further & appoint more MAGA justices?

It's a basic Civics class from junior high. I must admit that I don't even know if they teach that any longer.

And Pod Save America made the good point the other day that signing executive orders won't help when the corrupt SCOTUS majority is just going to overturn them within a few months.
