It’s time to end legacy admissions. Each year thousands of students are admitted to colleges around the nation only because their parents went there.

Legacy admissions are back-door discriminatory policies that overwhelmingly advantage wealthy, white students over everyone else.

And let's be clear: legacy students are there b/c part of their legacy is wealth, & the schools anticipate receiving a share of it, & judging by their endowments, they do.

And it's not as though rich & powerful scions are particularly better students. We grinds, however, have to be.
