Today it is 6 years - on el Día de la Medicina Peruana - since this little red book came out. It contains love from so many who helped me make sure each word did its job. Today, care activists are working for careful and kind care for all. Join us + support us at http://patientrevolution.o...

This is true in #healthcare but I suspect it may be true elsewhere (paraphrasing Tuckey and Drucker):

If something is not worth doing, it is not worth doing with #ai .

A corollary: if something is done with #ai it does not mean it was worth doing in the first place.

In response to Lilon Bandler.
“…relationships, between patients and professionals, and between healthcare colleagues; … It turns out that the subversive, almost revolutionary thing to do within contemporary healthcare is to build, quietly and unobtrusively, these crucial relationships.”

“Tools like AI will create more room for more care” is the mantra. Yet, this may be true were care to be the core purpose of healthcare. For that we must turn away from industrialized healthcare and toward careful and kind care for all. If not, gains will be used for processing more people. https:/

I wonder if a #medspout or #MedSpoutible community has developed yet? 👋 to fellow medics out there.

Palliative medicine doc in the UK here.

Hope we can get back to some learning from each other unlike on other SM sites!

A long story about the brokenness of the health insurance system. Infuriating.
