A few points about this study:
#Autism #Autistic

1) matching gender might not be as reliable as they seem to think as autistic people are far more likely to not be cisgendered.

I heard about this book yesterday afternoon on the way home from the grocery store (on ABC Radio National). Ordered it as soon as I had the groceries unpacked, and it just arrived a few minutes ago.

I’m very much looking forward to reading Huckleberry Finn from Jim’s perspective.

What is the point of extensive community consultation when you reject what the community says 🤷‍♂️

(To be fair, this is the previous mayor and local council).

When will the US Democrats learn that to secure the election they need to change their position on expats and provide (no cost) relief to millions.

For “US persons” residing outside of the US:

1) end citizenship based taxation;
2) end FATCA reporting; and,
3) end FBAR reporting.

Time to turf any politician that votes on a religious basis, rather than what is best for the people as a whole.

It’s not just Julian. Here’s is another Australian that the US is trying to extradite.

I’m not sure how Dan can be extradited given that what he is accused of is not a crime in Australia, and that’s one of the requirements for extradition. But hegemony will do as it will.

I went grocery shopping yesterday morning at my local supermarket and a number of shelves were bare or close to it. It was as bad as the worst I’d seen during Covid. It wasn’t much better last weekend, either. Not sure what’s going on.

I’ve heard that the government’s NDIS bill that’s currently with parliament is awful. I’ll be watching a briefing on it from earlier this week by Senator Jordon Steele-John over the weekend - more to follow.

I can’t say this enough - disabled people need to be in charge of the NDIS - people with real skin in the game who understand the vulnerability of being disabled.

We need the recommendations from the Disability Royal Commission enacted, including a disability minister (who should be disabled).

I don’t know how practical this would be to replace windows screens, but sign me up!

Goodbye annoying neighbours, traffic and aircraft noises, and hello to being able to *live* in my own home, finally. Maybe one day…

There seems to be a recurrent theme in a number of wrongful convictions whereby the police fixated on the person ultimately convicted, and between them and the prosecutor they seem to concoct fantastic theories of the crime that can defy the laws of physics ways that only a Time Lord could.

And finally, the last of the daily introduction of pets - so that’s it, all 12 of them.

These are Cheeky and Jasper. Jasper is a recent addition to our family - my wife was driving a short way down our street when she saw a budgie on the road that was in some distress.

This is Whiskey (he seemed so chilled when we picked him up - turns out that he had just been vaccinated). Whiskey is a fairly sensitive and gentle boy who has a habit of just standing while watching you.

Whiskey loves nesting in amongst them pillows. My wife is not impressed with that.

This is Gemma (Teller-Morrow) - the first of our two dogs. Gemma is an absolute gronk and a furry bin chicken (it’s a Brisbane thing - one of the many names for the local ibis).

Despite her faults, the cats seem to like her.

Finally (for our cats), and not least of all (he’ll make sure that you know that), is Arthur, AKA Sir Foofers Lord of the Pantaloons or simply Foofs or Foofers, AKA Mr Magnificent.

Foofs is the most personable cat, often following one of us around the house, laying on keyboards, and demanding…

This is Ruby (better known as Bubba). She’s our original, and our only outdoor cat - the others are strictly indoor only). Bubba is not a fan of any of the others, but she tolerates the dogs.

She loves to rattle the security door, making it sound like someone is trying to break in.

This is Mac (John McClean (Die Hard) - you know that you’re parenting well when your daughter chooses a name like that). He’s also known as Chonk or Chonky (to be fair, he has lost some weight). The first of our batch of indoor cats. He’s a love sponge, but not much of a lap cat.
