Looking forward to this, Ditko did some great work in the early 1970s

Really one of the best Superman stories of the 1970s, I’m always kind of surprised DC let Kirby do this, given how protective of “the brand” they were

If your local library offers the digital book/music/video service hooplaDigital , you can borrow a copy of the 1975 Sheldon Mayer / Nestor Redondo / Joe Kubert Bible book (based on the 2012 trade dress, which really emphasizes the Kubert contribution).

Since I had them out to snap a pic, two issues of Sandman I had signed by Neil Gaiman ( @neilhimself ) in Toronto in 1990.

It was at the Beguiling, if I remember correctly their short-lived Queen St. location.

I wasted too much time on these not to post them. Apologies to Mr. Ditko, Mr. Gibbons and everyone who wastes the time to read them...

Missing words, missing stats, missing drawings, if you read these comics originally you didn't get the full story until reprints decades later. Check out https://fourrealities.blog... and then you'll know... the rest of the story

This looks interesting. Steve Gerber is easily the most interesting of the "mainstream" comic book writers to come out of the seventies, and it'll be interesting to hear what collaborators Skrenes and Mayerik have to say.

But...

Weather forecasting seems to becoming a lost art. This is what I get right now. No rain in the last 24 hours (a blatant lie), 3 mm in the next 24 hours, but somehow 10 mm total today. If you’re going to be wrong, at least be internally consistently wrong…

Found a long lost classic Usagi Yojimbo toy today. Came with a Spot figure, but that's missing. Great rendition of the Stan Sakai designs.

I think this is the only comic book toy I've bought for myself as an adult. Wait, there were the Sugar&Spike plush dolls...

Don't spend much time on facebook these days, but every now and then I do, and sometimes find a link to something that really takes me back. Can't believe I spent as much time as I did mocking this up, but in retrospect, worth it...

Kids today, they have it so easy. Back in my day, you know how much time and effort it would take to put together a collection of Ditko's work like this. Now all you need is a few clicks of the mouse or taps on the screen an a freshly printed set can be at your door in mere days...

Sorry to hear about the passing of Joshua Quagmire, comic book artist best known for Cutey Bunny. Mark Evanier has more details here: https://www.newsfromme.com...
I came late to his work, but always enjoyed when it would pop up in some remote place

A DISTANT SOIL is a long-running science fiction series by Colleen Doran, published since 1983, in the current series 42 issues from 1991 to 2013, still unfinished but still hope it will continue some day. Gorgeous artwork, a complex story with a lot of twists and surprises

“The Combat-Happy Joes of Easy tore into the Nazis like teenagers wolfin' up a six-foot long hero sandwich after rockin' and rollin' at a hullabaloo party!”

Few things bring me as much joy as 1960s DC Comics ad writers trying to sound hip…
