There is no doubt in my mind that last year's midterms elections played a major role in the way SCOTUS ruled on Moore v Harper. With PA and MI flipped to Dems, GOP justices no longer saw a viable route to steal the electoral college and have anomalously returned to upholding basic democratic values.
