That being said, what I've seen of the moderation here I would classify as fair. Offering users at least one warning to cease and desist (in cases that are not blatantly abusive).

This is the difficult balancing act that comes with moderation. Where is that line ? If I'm not LGBTQ+ and vote "no" or "not sure", is my vote as important as someone who is LGBTQ+ and says "yes" ? In this example, I think my vote counts for less. It's hard to be perfect, but try to be fair.

I have seen the occasional raccoon once dusk hits. Fortunately, no skunks so far.

It's probably better this way. Part of me wants to know who and why, the other part just eye-rolls at the drama.

Fortunately, Spoutible is less plagued with disinformation than other platforms. But with the US elections ahead this is great preparation. It can also position Spoutible as a reliable 'go-to'.

From what I see, anyone can run an accuracy alert on a post. The results are visible to the person who triggered it. After 5 reports, it's attached to the original spout for all to view.

I fear the 'free-dumbers' and conspiracy loons will make it nearly impossible to control the impact if it goes pandemic level into people.

This is why I do not support the bottled-water industry. Companies like Nestle pump out thousands of litres for next to nothing while contributing to an ever-growing mountain of plastic waste. Once the ground-water is gone, or too low, they shut down and move on.

You are quite likely correct about it being a contact lens. People create things like this because they know it will get eagerly shared. A desire to "go viral" or they just want to laugh at people who fall for it. Confirmation Bias does the rest. Happens on this platform as well.

Not a chance. Employers should concern themselves with creating a company where people want to work, feel valued, and don't feel like 'big brother' is watching their every move. Inspire instead of coerce.

Duck Duck Go Browser doesn't seem to pass the check. (v. 0.68.0 for Windows). Firefox and Edge are OK. I saw someone else say they had to turn off their VPN, I am not using any VPN client. DDG browser uses Edge WebView technology so I suspect it's blocking something the security check requires.
