I'm old enough to remember when public officials and institutional or business leaders would resign when bad behaviour got exposed. What happened to this tradition? Is shame no longer a thing????

I'm Canadian and am frightened/appalled/horrified/puzzled by the degree of corruption being exposed but is seemingly accepted by our American neighbors. Praying the tentacles of this reaching into Canada don't take hold.

It was amusing to read this thread coz initially I thought "why would @Cbouzy even need to say this?" and then i saw replies asking if it's okay to cheer on a death sentence, or simply wish bad luck on others. So this rule is more complex than it initially seems to be!
