I got a get well card from one of my husband’s friends. I am really amused to learn that for the past 30 years, this friend thinks my name is Doreen. And no, I’m not mad. My own father who named me was never able to spell or pronounce my name correctly.

I just had major surgery two days ago and cannot wait until I can get into the shower again. I’m wearing a battery powered pump that can’t get wet, and although I wash at my sink every time I go to the bathroom, it doesn’t cut it like a hot shower.
