Please keep spouting recs! I'm interested in trying some. I steer away from YA for the most part and tend to gravitate toward more adult/darker themed books, but a few you have mentioned have piqued my interest.

Agree. Once famous brands and government agencies make the change, the bird application has no reason to exist.

Reminder: Spoutible isn't Twitter, and some people are bringing their Twitter habits here. "Free speech" doesn't mean being free to bully or harass. If your goal is to be disruptive, this is not the platform for you.

It's super cute! His second book (Blaine for the Win) I think is even better. I'm very excited for the third book to be published.

Not a winning strategy in politics in #Australia . Then again, one recent Prime Minister here was an unmarried, cohabiting, atheist, woman who came into politics from a role in leadership in the union movement.

It's shocking how much the general vibe and culture of a social platform can influence your emotions. I open up Spoutible and I feel generally optimistic and enthusiastic, then I tab over to Twitter and instantly feel outraged and depressed.

The first fantasy book I ever experienced was The Hobbit, which my mother read aloud to me when I was very young, one chapter a night, over several months

The first fantasy book I vividly remember reading (maybe b/c it had a big impact) was the Wizard of Earthsea, by Ursula Le Guin

My first fantasy was Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind. My brother actually bought it as we were about to embark on a road trip, but I ended up reading it when he was done. I was maybe... twelve?

I have two serials currently running, so you'll hear about those (episodes drop regularly). I have a weekly substack called The Process Muse on process. I have an almost daily blog on the intersection of writing and life. You'll hear about that. I yap about words a lot! #writing #WritingCommunity

Waiting for a Spoutible #WritingCommunity , #KingdomHearts community, and #Politics feed to take shape. Then I can abandon Twitter for good.

A safe space for journalists!

But not for *journamalism,* the insidious, servile cousin of actual reporting.

Stuff like quoting Rick Scott about the debt ceiling without mentioning his votes to *cause* ~25% of the debt, nor mentioning his role in committing the largest Medicare fraud ever.
