Maybe I'm naïve or too optimistic. But when I look at the last election results of places like Georgia or Arizona where we've actually FLIPPED elections, or I consider the history of places like Texas (young people... Google Ann Richards)... I see POTENTIAL. This is why I did Postcards to Voters.

Rescue trained surfers got their first - he was almost exhausted by the time he got to the one kid that was rescued. We had binoculars... the kid was exhausted and not much help getting on the board. He couldn't walk when on the beach, & the rescuer wasn't much better.

I don't think that he and his companions were more than knee deep. A particularly strong undertow w/ the tide going out knocked two of them off their feet. One was rescued, but they never found the 2nd boy even though they brought out all the stops - helicopter, about 6 jet skis, surfboards, boats.

I can't stop thinking about it. Not bc I care more for them than others that are in danger or died - but I think this taps into a primal fear of being buried alive. I have to give props to Gates for tweeting it out - I think some fellow Explorer's Club members are involved in this mess.

Over on the birdie app, Josh Gates (he has a Discovery show... I love him) said that he had the opportunity to be in Titan during some test runs. He then turned down the offer to go to the Titanic, due to his concerns over safety. This is a guy who dives in flooded Egyptian pyramids, etc.!

Migraines. Only lasted 12 hours or so, but so bad my body would evacuate itself by any means necessary. Had them bad in my 30s and early 40s. Did have an aural one during the panny with not a lot of the pain, but didn't go to the ER. I had a hunch & took my migraine med & it went away.

They also hate quality art - and Ted Lasso is quality writing. The 3 seasons were akin to a well planned out 3 act play. While I will miss the weekly joy it has been giving me, I won't be too sad if they do not do a spin off. (However, I will support it if they do!)

If you get the utility difference, don't pay them upfront 11 months ahead. If you decide to move, or have a dispute (like there being an issue with the utilities provided one month) he won't give you a discount or pay you back. This guy sounds like a jerk.

I literally said this out loud in a DEI(B) training session I'm taking - a Education professor said to us in class that the most powerful words a teacher can say is "I don't know". Neurodivergent or not, we should all be comfortable saying those words.

Can there be an industry standard on masks, considering each face and head is different? I unpacked the mask, and didn't look at the nose piece that came on it. It was a medium, and I was prescribed a small (they'd included several smalls separately) But sliding around on my hair may be an issue.

I never even bothered seeing the 2nd one of the trilogy. I ended up seeing the 3rd because a friend's little boy wanted to see it and at least I understood most of the stuff.

I need to go watch again, but Ibremember really liking Last Jedi. I also need to brush back up on my Joseph Campbell Power of the Myth. The Original trilogy was so much in line with that, and I suspect Rian did research that. I think the prequels sucked bc George forgot his own plans & inspiration!
