No kidding! Suffer 'sticker shock' everytime I grocery shop. I wouldn't eat nearly as well if I didn't garden. Makes me crazy that fresh fruits and veggies are, even when available, too pricey for many people to feed their families.
Even farmer's markets are often bougie these days. 😑

Oh heck, I had so many folks underfoot in my house, you'd hardly have been noticed! Can you imagine a $200 weekly grocery bill in the '80s?!? True story, but worth every penny.

Laundry can be a chore! But peaceful sometimes - especially if it's still nice enough to hang outdoors.
Busy day here - another downstate friend is coming for an overnight. Then tomorrow, one of the boys I raised is coming out to stack wood. Which means I need to start baking cookies!

Yes, recently saw that Rite Aid is filing for bankruptcy. Our very small Rite Aid is staffed by locals whom I've known for years. Sure hoping they aren't one of the closures. 🤞

...yet how many millions of our people (yes, OUR people) still support the Republican Party and its presidential front runner? It hurts.

Stomach and heart sinking... especially because I'm not sure how to help. I write letters to officials/corporations: 99% of the time I get no response/form letter. Because of an injury which permanently has limited my mobility, I can no longer interact with by leading groups, speaking, etc.
