The decision in Moore v. Harper (great relief that it is) reminds that, by its earlier decisions in Shelby and Rucho, SCOTUS has lowered our expectations about voting rights to the point where we're relieved to find we still have some.

While CPAC's influence is waning, we should not overlook how extreme the Republican base has become and how the language they use is no accident. We have an overt fascist movement in this country led by the Republican Party.

Jumping on a webinar on the state of US democracy and the electorate today. What did we learn from the 2022 elections?

Aside: I hope we learned many things. Like ignore the prognosticators -- your vote will count as long as you vote. Oh, and there is a democracy coalition.
