For me it was a series of books. Mama had gotten a set of storybooks somewhere. They started off with the simplest for the youngest to be read to, all the way up into the teen years. There had to be 15 volumes. My oldest sister used to gather us and read to us.

Agingfashionably @JAShopperLittle Women. I was nine and wore out my original copy. A few years back, my husband gave me this book. It belonged to his aunt, a birthday gift from her father.
