This past weekend I had been invited to be a vendor at the Culver City (L.A) Garden Club's 70th Annual (juried) Flower Show. I did really well and had a fabulous time-my kind of folk. Thi was not mine-it's a way of making an arrangement called Ikebana & won 1 of 2 Best in Show awards.

I've been invited as a vendor this year. I'm bringing great driftwood, vintage pots & old buckets, beautiful shells, and stones for top dressings and just overall beauty for gardens. I will have my banner, NancyRocks. Come say hi!

I lost Sparkles on the left in December. His 1/2 brother Oreo I had to put to sleep today and the roommate from hell took my cat last month. I am not doing well right now.

This opened on my porch this morning. I collect Epidendrums or Epi's. They grow like Orchids or most Bromeliads in trees in Central and South America. It's still cloudy.

This is one of the best shows in the southland and I'm one of the vendors & an officer in the club (non-profit). We do a lot of community outreach and support an annual $1000 scholarship with the Geology Dept at CA State Fullerton University.

I collect Epiphyllums, "Orchid Cactus," and the blooms only last 2 days. If you feed them, you can get multiple blooms. They just started blooming today-YAY!
They orginally come from Central & So. America and are tree dwellers, like Orchids.
