All I’m asking people to understand is that you can prohibit adult content with clear language where the answer to someone’s question of “can I post this?” is not “just post it and see if you end up getting banned!”

I am beyond appalled at the volume of people here who saw a Spoutible donor and professional author (who taught law!) saying "the TOS around adult content is vague & especially could be used against queer people, can I help fix it?" & started telling her & others with similar concerns to shut up.

You know, I was all-in on Spoutible until I saw @courtneymilan 's posts earlier today. @cbouzy , please take her comments to heart--she's a lawyer as well as a romance author, and policies need to be clear and not make for weird stuff like people not being able to link to their romance novels.

This is a generous offer, @cbouzy There’s a huge community of writers&readers called Romancelandia & an equally large group of YA (young adult) readers w writers whose YA books are being banned simply for including LBGTQ characters. We are all on edge. Please let @courtneymilan help you clarify.

Whatever you think of adult content on this site directly, this is not good language, it’s not good policy, and it is extremely fixable. @cbouzy I am happy to help try to come up with a policy that provides clear guidance, meets general aims of external bodies, while preserving necessary discussion.

My new & hardwon skill at changing smoke detector batteries has failed me, as another started beeping, I changed the battery, it kept beeping, & now I can't get the battery door open. The detector itself is over 20 yrs old, so that might be part of the problem, alas.

Very frustrated by one of the textbooks for my transformative learning class. From 2014, lots of unnecessary quotation marks, cites a lot of older lit...why didn't we have a more recent text assigned instead?
