As executor of my mom's estate I'm closing her IRAs and consolidating funds in a new Bank of America account on her attorney's instructions. BoA has put 9- and 11-day holds on two six-figure deposits. Either they're worried Fidelity cashier's checks will bounce or they're skimming off some interest.
