Teacher Twitter is a hot mess. And yeah, this job is hard. The pay is inadequate and there are many useless mean adults. Hard kids are hard. Struggles not withstanding, we change lives. And we get so much love from the kids. And it really is a blessing to do what we do.

In 2021, COVID-19 took my mom. I didn't have many photos of her when she was young a woman, so I took the photo from her 1969 citizenship documents, restored it, and then turned it in to a glass portrait.

It’s hard for Democrats to keep up with the Republicans who’ve turned into a party all about retribution, violence and opposing justice. I think it’s still hard for Democrats to fully accept they’ve abandoned all democratic values and the pretense of making life better.
