I don't think it "has come to this." I think it has always been this.

We used to have a saying at work. As soon as you start a sentence with "wouldn't you think," you are wrong. Just wrong no matter what you were going to say next. 🙄🙄

I think the word "virgin" should be erased from our vocabulary. How does it mean anything in relation to a person? Does it symbolize anything real about anyone? Why are we still giving any value to this concept? OK, personal rant over. (ps I don't know who Tim Scott is or what the controversy is.)

Let me fall, let me climb
There's a moment when fear and dream must collide
Someone I am is waiting for courage
The one I want, the one I will become will catch me

I remember when a certain president lied (not saying which one and it was before #45 ), I said what concerned me most was that he wasn't even trying to pretend that he wasn't lying. I found that aspect the most telling and the most disturbing.

I agree with most of these statements but I hesitate to broad brush MAGA and the GOP. It feels good emotionally but I don't think it is correct. Plus, it just doesn't help. I'm not here to lecture or think myself better than anyone else, I just want positive solutions and conversation. 💚

I honestly don't understand why being convicted of a felony isn't a barrier to running for a public office? I could understand a time limit on it, say it has to be within the last 10 years or so but, really?

I lived outside the US for 11 years. It was only then that I realized just how weirdly violent we are for a country "at peace." It is sad.

I always find it frustrating how badly the democrats are at messaging. The last time I thought, "Yes, now that is a Democrat who knows how to talk strong!" was Anthony Weiner and we all know how that turned out. Right now, Buttigieg is our #1 communicator, IMHO. We need more!!
