Thank you for writing your father’s story. He had what seems like a remarkable life. I read it with great interest.

Currently: Brave the Wild River by Melissa Sevigny. It’s a fascinating story of two women botanists in early 1900s exploring the Grand Canyon by boat. All kinds of issues, as you might imagine in those days.
What about you? Favorite podcast?

Yes! I love the movement and time for audiobooks. However I’m not loving the current temps and humidity. 😅

The Wager is really good also. David Grann is such a meticulous researcher that I’d take a chance on anything he writes. Hope you and hubs like it!

I loved Flower Moon when I read it a few years back with my IRL book club. We had a great discussion and no one had heard of the story. I’m looking forward to the movie! #SBBC #FlowerMoon

Because she’s local for me I would point you to Tenfold More Wicked podcast by Kate Winkler Dawson. She looks at cold crime cases. She also has a couple of true crime books that are excellent.

I also found a lot of value in The Sum of Us by Heather McGhee. Gave me insights into lots of issues I’d not considered before.

I totally agree. Race was simply not an issue in my younger life. I’m trying to recover from my own deficiencies by reading and listening to those who know so much more than I do. One big step for me is developing a language with which I can express my concerns.

I don’t know which pattern has which name but I think the yarn might be too dark to really showcase the pattern with cables. The other two would be beautiful. My $0.02.
