Just returned from Burma. What a beautiful country and wonderful people. Observations: the military is very afraid of its people - sand bag entrenchments, road blocks, guns at the ready. People despise the military and resist and big and small ways. They deserve our attention.

If someone tells you there's nothing we can do about gun violence beyond thoughts and prayers, remind them:
— Gun laws in other countries have stopped mass shootings
— More guns don't make us safer
— A majority of Americans want gun control
