While it makes a nice headline, we should not be calling sovereign tribal lands by any state name.
These lands are not in any way "South Dakota", which was also reaffirmed by SCOTUS in 2022. They are within the borders of the United States, but not the states.

Make no mistake- they are not heroes. They stood by while trump committed heinous acts & enacted harmful policies, and they did nothing to stop him.
