My mother died a couple of months ago after battling Alzheimer's for 16 years. I'm an only child, so no family to share the responsibility. Caregiving was one of the hardest (and rewarding) things I've ever done in my life.

Children are required by law to attend school. During the course of any day, people will get hungry and distracted by their aching stomach. Given that they are required to be there and required to eat to survive, all children should be fed at school for free.
