Thanks, I hope so too. It's difficult to watch her suffer and not really be able to do much outside of giving her some Advil.

Sadly, because they spent all that time saying respirators weren't needed for the last few years while trying to redefine the word "airborne" or avoid saying it altogether... it's unlikely people will want to wear them :(

That's always the capitalist's solution to crises

Sweep it under the rug and let the poor suffer it while you gaslight them into believing it doesn't exist.

I figure that it's going to be a constant onslaught of trying to keep up with learning the ever-changing landscape of vulnerabilities.

But I still have no idea what specific tasks they do, to be fair... most of the past roles I have taken on are difficult to easily explain to others as well lol

Canadians, Australians, The English, and Americans have all tried this same act when they wanted to colonize, it's not difficult to spot. "Out victims are fighting back, so now we can wipe them out and it's OKAY!" But it wasn't...

I am disinterested in you trying to flip the script :)

You mean the people they have been stealing land from and walled off in a massive open-air prison for all these years?

Or how about when they attacked international aid workers with precision weapons?

Or gunning down people seeking food?

I mean, it works, but things like rosemary tend to pop out of it while you are crushing them and it takes far more effort and time to grind up the spices.

The marble one ground up a clove like it was nothing, the bamboo one couldn't do the stem

Maybe I should have said flakey since it's a better word to decribe what I meant.

I don't expect everyone I meet to be permanent fixtures in my life but I expect them to put effort in too.

They are temporary not because they eject me, but because I eject them for their behaviour and them expecting me to just tolerate it

That used to be true but it's honestly easier to notice flakey people without having to deal with their bullshit after the last several years.

They aren't all that different from each other and I can often recognize them before I've truly wasted time on them

I disagree

It's important to plan for the disasters society refuses to mitigate now so that when they happen I am already taking the extra steps to protect myself

People accepted being sick every few weeks rather quickly whereas I am unwilling to return to that again.

Since the 80s it's mostly been downhill where we talk about how climate change is an issue or how there weren't enough young people to replace the boomers... yet they voted to burn more fuel and defund education instead.

Now many of them blame social media for it.... Not the education system...

Boomers get the blame because they had the voting power over the other generations, including their parents, for decades

And they, as a generation, voted for property values and consumerism over dealing with any of the crises society faced... so now we are screwed.

I see it like an army

The immune system only has so many troops to throw at the problem... once it's out of troops it doesn't matter what knowledge it has to defeat the enemy... it can't win the battles anymore.

It's also really aggressive and hurts us while trying to save us...

A respirator is the best prevention since it lowers viral load, keeping most of it out of your body to begin with.

It causes body-wide tissue(organ damage) through our vascular systems and even causes bone degradation. That would increase the chance of cancer across the board. It rapidly ages us :(

So I need to be able to send it as a simple file later.

That's what I'm saying, I never took mine off. The vaccine was never a replacement for them. That's why we live in this mess now.

If only we hadn't let our leaders remove them from schools, hospitals, and care homes for just the vaccine right?

The problem is everyone refusing to admit it's airborne and so we have to omit all airborne mitigations like masks. We are currently dealing with more than just SARS... because we refuse to wear masks and try to make exposure okay instead...

In a case like that with a modern drive-by-wire car with electric power steering? It's actually scary easy to do that.

Sort of like how stealing cars has become so simple...

Or threatening someone to do it...

They have managed worse, like SARS in schools and Hospitals
