I had an uncle who was a lifetime NRA member (back when they were about gun safety, or at least much more so). He collected rifles. Never shot a one of them (probably a blessing, he was farsighted AF), just collected them. He didn't become a conservative.

I had the same reaction, and the stick puppy one was very upsetting. I just keep closing the ad and giving feedback, either "it's inappropriate" or "seen this ad multiple times".
That may be all we can do about it.
