We grew this Jubilee watermelon and it weighs 66 1/2 pounds. That’s an adult hand . It’s too hot to eat just yet and it doesn’t fit in the fridge so I cut some pieces and put those in the fridge and put the rest in garbage bags sitting on the counter. Oy!

Yesterday, the 3-year old asked me how many days until Hallowe'en (or as he calls it, "CanDay".) I told him 73. Now every morning he does a countdown, and is obsessively planning his candy collection, storage, and distribution strategy. I hope the neighbourhood is prepared.
