Definitely counts! Sounds like your #cabbits are more adventurous eaters than my #buts (?) though!

I am trying to get better at writing useful descriptions. Question: do you know if it is possible to put alt text on videos? I didn't know how.

They are a breed of rabbit that are called Lionheads, so they sort of look like muppets, huh? I just got them last week

Lol this is one of my favorite jokes - it is the one I always tell when I am asked to tell a joke on the spot for some reason

Ha, yes I am here to represent for all the seasick oceanographers. Because of that, my research is mostly lab work now, but I still go out to sea with my students when I teach my Biological Oceanography class!

Phronima, which is a type of hyperiid amphipod.

This organism is parasitic and hollows out the bodies of gelatinous zooplankton called salps to lay their eggs in.

Also, fun fact, Phronima was what inspired the movie Alien.

Marrus orthocanna, a species of siphonophore, which is a colonial organism related to a jellyfish.

Siphonophores can be quite large (this one can get up to 5-6 feet long) - not all plankton are small, it just means they are drifters!

Sea Angel (known as a pteropod). A planktonic slug that is adapted to have swimming wings

There are also shelled versions called sea butterflies, that create a mucus web to catch falling particles to feed on.

I am an #oceanographer but you will rarely work in the field since I get very seasick! My research focuses mostly on sinking particles called marine snow. I teach a lot and work with undergrads at my job which I love, so you will hear me spout about that!

Since I do a lot of image analysis for my research, it works well for me. But let's be honest - a lot of the reason I use it is because it is by far the thing I am most comfortable in and learning a new thing at this point seems daunting 😂
