I am hosting a panel discussion at the World AI Summit this week in Montreal. If ever there were a technology that excites and terrifies at the same time, it is AI. The benefits are too staggering to ignore but who puts in the guard rails? Heck, where do they go?

Respect for your courage to share. I write award winning books on digital health. One firm that has impressed me is Twill. They directly address this segment. What good is all of our recent innovations in healthcare if nobody has heard of solutions like this? I have no affiliation. Just respect

Get a bicycle :-) See the "bumps"...locals will tell you what that means. Enjoy any of the local pubs. They are much different than here. You have to see for yourself.

Have a great trip--Enjoy!

JKG, haven't heard anyone mention his name in decades. If I am not mistaken, he had a home in Vermont--my native state :-)

Americans value choice. Like I said I am on Medicare, the consumer experience is absolutely wretched. Put it on the state's marketplaces & let people decide for themselves. In CA, they proposed a M4ALL bill that doesn't even use the business model it is transitioning to. Access-affordability-quality

I wish it were that simple. An MRI in the SF Bay area can cost $240. In some LA zip codes, it is $1200 for the same procedure using the same machine. Providers will charge whatever they can get away with. I am on Medicare. Not a single provider I use will accept it. M4ALL means I see no providers

John, I am going to respectfully suggest you focus on the healthcare challenges we face. I know from experience that arguments rooted in "warring" with industry doesn't move the needle like you think. We need TOTAL access to QUALITY AFFORDABLE care. Any model that gets us there deserves evaluation

100% Nothing will consumerize healthcare until health plans are forced to sell directly to us. Put Medicare on that same marketplace and let anyone who needs or wants it make their selection.

The quality of care you see will absolutely drop. Why? Progressives advocating M4ALL want to do away with the very business model it is transitioning toward. They just don't understand how any of this works.

We support Medicare. We just don't think it is the only product that gets you to TOTAL access to care.

Agreed, they don't want everyone to have healthcare. They want to mandate everyone's choice. They have no actual healthcare goals --only a soundbite

And yet, the providers set the prices. The insurers negotiate to bring them down-- Progressives: See the insurers are bad. Look, there are plenty of bad actors in healthcare. Pretending there is only one is a shallow, short sighted strategy that doesn't accomplish what you think it does.

Here in CA, Progressive proposed CalCare but incredibly disdained the business model Medicare is transitioning to. It didn't even make it to the floor for a vote. Instead of a post mortem on why--the Caucus Chair advocated targeting our assembly and terrorizing them into submission!

We need more than a shallow soundbite. I am huge Medicare/Medicaid advocate & I am constantly amazed at how little Progressives know about how healthcare is consumed & serviced. We should be advocating 2 things: 1) Anyone who wants Medicare should be able to choose and 2) Value based care models
