Someone just asked me how I'm treated on Japanese airlines. Usually Japanese crews are aware of where people "belong". Wherever I stop , they already know I belong there. Some might be nervous about using English, so I speak Japanese, so there's never any problems.

@Oh_Well -- I'm often stunned by how many people do not understand the meaning of the word, racism. As such, many people will claim that the Japanese are racists simply because that person didn't get his/her way. Racism & xenophobia also do not carry the same weight. So, are the Japanese racist?

Tourists have become pestilence in Japan. "People" stand in the middle of busy roadways taking photos of Mt. Fuji, scratch their names into hundred or thousand year old structures, & manhandle Geisha & Maiko on the streets. They mindlessly touch the hair or rip the regalia of the young women.

Bears generally do not attack on sight. Bears either attack when they're sick/injured, protecting cubs, or surprised. If a woman chooses a bear over a strange man, make noise to let the bear know that you're there. Either it will leave quickly (likely) or beat you senseless (less likely).
