It will never not amuse/annoy me when people criticize others who are protesting something important because they aren't protesting the thing they think is more important. There is more than enough crappy shit happening to focus our own efforts and collaboration on rather than criticizing others.

Why are we litigating this again? Lots of studies have been done and have shown transition to be a positive good for a subset of the general population.

I had a meeting today with the local police department. They have an officer who works with community members whose loved ones may need their services. They also have a social worker assigned to the station. I feel a little better about the possibility we may need to call.
