Or better yet, she should encourage recruitment for Democratic candidates down ballot, especially if the state's filing deadline has not passed yet (Tennessee's is April 4th). The more Dems we recruit the better the odds are for Biden/Harris and down ballot Dems to win, upsetting the far-right.

Now the big question is this - can we convince the 60% of eligible voters who didn't vote in the 2022 midterms to actually show up in 2024? I think we can... but we have to convince them that voting does matter and get them registered by October 7th with a photo ID or an ID that's acceptable.

And let's also convince the 60% of eligible voters who didn't vote in the 2022 midterms to show up for the 2024 general election on November 5th, assuming that they register by October 7th and have a photo ID or an ID that's acceptable in the state.

Plus we need to overcome the GOP voter purge...

Now the next thing Texans need to do is show up at the polls... primaries are very important and today's the last day to early vote before Tuesday's big election.

Looks like we'll have to do a lot of GOTV efforts to reach out to Texans who haven't voted yet...

You can do both... #GivingTuesday can also be used to donate to tossup/leaning districts where Democratic candidates need their help to reach out to voters (let alone down ballot races), but also to the state Democratic parties that need $$$ for resources and volunteers (year-round as well).

Flipping the State House may be possible though compared to the State Senate which has a tougher climb... if the state party competes everywhere and doesn't leave seats uncontested, it can drive voter turnout in the state which has gotten more younger and diverse.

Not to mention that the open governor race in New Hampshire is going to be one to watch... combined with a presidential race and other top of the ticket races, it could be enough to get a tied State Senate or maybe a Democratic trifecta if we're lucky.

I hope young voters are also considering running for something... especially federal, statewide, judicial, local and even the state legislature level where in 2022 too many State House/State Senate seats went uncontested. Maybe visit this link below and run?

Yeah, and convince someone you know or those around the network to say isn't it time to run for something?

That's why we're reaching out to people that can help join in the fight to recruit, train, fund, and support strong Democratic candidates up and down the ballot.

In 2022, we unfortunately let too many State House/State Senate seats go uncontested, mostly in red/non-voting states as shown below.

Down ballot races like these can have reverse coattails which can help statewide, federal, and presidential races.

Maybe running for something would help...

It's a mixture of OPs and real people but here's what I think the real people have got to do - focus on state legislature races let alone not leave any uncontested even in those with longshot efforts. They are so important especially one where it could decide control and the agenda in the state.

And then hopefully after August 1st once Janet Protasiewicz is sworn in to the Wisconsin Supreme Court, they will strike the gerrymandered maps down to give us fair maps in Wisconsin which affect both US House races and state legislature races. Hopefully that will happen in time by 2024...

As well as so many other issues... fair maps if we turn out like we saw in Michigan and some other states in 2022 give us a reasonable shot to flip the state legislatures to blue.

Imagine what we could do with a blue trifecta in Wisconsin...

I don't know but come August 1st once the new Wisconsin State Supreme Court is sworn in with Janet Protasiewicz, I'm hoping they will strike down the gerrymandered maps in time for 2024 so we can flip the legislatures to blue as well as compete in every district so the students will get the vaccine.

Maybe white women should point these statistics out in 2022 where 37 State House and 12 State Senate seats in Florida had no Dem on the ballot.

Perhaps competing everywhere would actually make them vote for Dems let alone run. That's if the leadership can actually recruit Dem candidates...

Especially when control of the state legislatures in one particular state could come down to that race alone and the agenda/legislation that's being set which will impact the state for many people.

And sadly, some Dem state party chairs are guilty of leaving seats uncontested as well, which is a real shame especially when they wait at the last minute to organize instead of pushing for year-round organization.

Sometimes you need a great chair party leader to tackle the job.

So, persuading them to vote in 2024 we need to remind them that in 2022 in a number of red/non-voting states, we let too many seats in the State House and State Senate go uncontested.

After seeing this below, maybe tell them it's a good time to run for something?

We have to...

And I'll also add this - did those who sit out or voted third party in 2016 not focus on state legislature races? Was there no Dem on the ballot?

State legislature races are very important but it's also important to make sure those should run for office, even in the toughest districts.

So instead of complaining they should turn into action and work hard to register voters, and/or run for office and not let that seat go uncontested by Dems. Some Dem state parties were guilty of leaving seats uncontested.

That's what they should do.

You're right... and I'll also add this - we focused too much on federal races and not on local state legislature races which in 2022 we let too many State House/State Senate seats go uncontested as shown below.

Recruiting everywhere even in tough districts helps statewide and presidential races.

In 2022 in a number of red/non-voting states, we let too many State House and State Senate seats go uncontested, as well as 25 US House seats that had no Dem on the ballot.

Some states it's really bad and the time has come to say it's time to run for something and not let this happen again.

I'm also going to add this but please focus on local races like statewide, judicial, and state legislature races... they're very important as well.

Down ballot races can help boost federal US House/Senate races and presidential races. Plus compete everywhere and not leave them uncontested.

Yeah, I'm not sure what is going on but it seems to me that the fees and signatures were the dispute. Hopefully this has been resolved otherwise Jasmine Lipscomb may have to sue in court just to get on the ballot. It's sad that we may have to come to this just for the HD-49 voters to have a choice.

We need the youth vote to turn out - and if we saw what happened in Wisconsin with the Supreme Court race, it can be done in Missouri as well.

It's clear that the GOP have messed with the wrong generation - Gen Z.

Gotta get the right candidate to win the race though.
