but yeah, it would have helped if it was explained to me when I was young that me and only me is in charge of my feelings.

Once I was attending a Tumor Board meeting & the smartest Dr (who was female) commented on a case. 2 mins later, a male Dr repeated what she said & it was 'heard' for the first time. She responded by pretending to tap on a mic & say "IS THIS THING ON?" Absolutely the best...

During in-person meetings, try to sit as close as you can to the most influential person in the room. Subconsciously, human brains associate intelligence, power, influence and validity with proximity. Try it! Really, what's the worst that can happen? 😊
