And in British English, singular/plural is much more nuanced and flexible - e.g.
"Rovers United are running onto the pitch"
"Rovers United is going into administration"

I was there. The software was poor, and I often raised Spoutible as an examplar of functionality. The founders' obsession with AI was totally at odds with the user base and probably investment bait.
But it was the nicest bunch of users of ANY platform, as the mockery in these replies demonstrate. 🫤

Journo: “How about the electric cart?”
Ed: “Nah, everyone knows what they are. Supermarket.”

If he can afford to leave a Mastodon server running, why couldn't he afford to keep a Pebble server running?
Is it the cost of the AI integration that nobody wanted?

Fun fact: Going by the standard definition of a henge, Stonehenge is inside out. So the whole of Great Britain is the henge, and all those people are standing outside it.
In fact it's usually roped off, and you're only allowed outside on special occasions!

Pixel 6a, "astrophotography" long exposure, on a table pointing straight up, in a built-up area with streetlights, blackpoint adjusted to compensate for atmospheric light. I could see maybe 6 stars by eye. Staggering.

Thanks for that Phred. I have neglected this site (there are so many now) but I find it one of the most impressive in terms of its features.
As I was going to say to Myles, from the old side of the Atlantic it seems a very North American place, so I should probably do something about that. 😁

I agree. I don't understand what problem is solved by having only one opportunity to edit.

What problem does that solve? Why is one edit after 14 minutes better than two edits within two minutes?

It's also the people most likely to snort "It's only a stochastic parrot! It's only a Markov chain!" who complain the loudest.
"It's a simple word predictor but also the nemesis of mankind"!

I went to a Howard Jones gig in 1984 with a school friend called Christopher. The girl in front of him trod on his foot so he exclaimed “God, stilettos hurt!”, and a huge bloke behind him leaned over and breathed in his ear, “Well you shouldn’t wear them then, sweetie”.
He didn’t go again.

I’ve found that Bard is better at finding things than Google Search is. e.g. it was able to name an academic I was trying to find, purely from a one-line description of a TED talk he’d done more than a decade ago.
Of course, how long Bard lasts without being monetised with ads... 🤷

The news integration is really polished. All the same, the ability to pull RSS feeds into Spoutible would be very powerful.
It’s only storage! Storage is free, right?! <joking>

By extension, would it be possible to include any RSS feed into Spoutible?
In the early years of Twitter there were RSS->Twitter bots to do something similar, and the ability to retweet and comment on such feeds was great. #featurewishlist
