Nice of the Republicans to put forth a SOTU rebuttal that reminds us all, in no uncertain terms, how little they think of both women and voters, and women voters. 😬

Kagan worried about bagels while Clarence Thomas lived large with Harlan Crow. A new report draws a glaring ethical distinction between the two justices.

So apparently, after the civil war, the us made some provisions for not defaulting on our debts. Should Biden use this to shut the nonsense down?

And also- does this give anyone else Memento vibes?

I was cleaning out an old box of mementos. And look what I found?

A sticker from the 1991 protests against Clarence Thomas’ Supreme Court nomination: I was in my early 20s but hopped a train to DC to stand against this man. It didn’t work.

Sadly the sticker is relevant again.

What we need in Tennessee is massive resistance, meaning more people coming to join the struggle for justice. Not meaningless boycotts that only harm the very cities the far right already despises. Please circulate this: lots of links to the great work being done here, and which people could support

Matthew Kacsmaryk doesn't know shit about medicine. Mifepristone was developed in 1980 and came into use in France in 1987. It became available in the United States in 2000. It has an outstanding safety record. Judges should never be allowed to dictate healthcare.

The Rhode Island legislature passed a bill on Tuesday for the third year in a row to allow retired teachers to instruct for a full year without giving up pension benefits. The bill is designed to help alleviate a shortage of teachers.

Also, it's worth noting that Justice Thomas did not recuse himself from McDonnell v. United States (2016), which was about whether government officials accepting free stuff from mega donors is potentially a crime.

Republican Donor Harlan Crow has been giving millions of dollars to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and his wife Ginni Thomas for over 20 years, off the books, under the table. https://www.propublica.org...
