Yes, if it had, the B6318 Military Road would have been blocked for a great deal of time. The Trail on my section in Stanley Plantation was blocked for about two years and a diversion put in place.

It is a wonderful place, I am very lucky to be able to look after a small section of it ! No standing remains of the Wall, but well defined sections of the Vallum and North ditch.

Yes, we are very lucky to have these and other places of interest in the north of UK. I am also lucky to have a three and a quarter mile section of Hadrian's Wall to look after and monitor. I am starting my 15th year as a Volunteer on #hadrianswalltrail

No creatures! The water is coming from an overflowing drain underneath the Military Road, the ground is so waterlogged now, it is pooling on this part of the Trail. A real problem.

Nothing surprises me now. Loads of litter and fly-tipped items these days. Thanks.

Same to you Andy. Did my 16th walk on section yesterday, plenty of work to do and report problem areas. It is a mess in certain places. I had to put wellingtons on yesterday to do work!
