Many folks here are aware. But I bet we all know someone IRL who doesn't feel the need to go vote. We need to not only make sure we vote, but help others go vote and encourage them.

They can't say that they're an LGBTQ friendly school if they're not willing to teach kids LGBTQ people exist.
There's a reason these kids are still bullied, because we don't teach our youth that it's totally normal & not a big deal. We have books on various races & religions to do this same thing.

This is what gets me angry about how enraged ppl are becoming re: LGBTQ+ friendly elementary school books MoCo Public Schools are presenting to kids.
There is no option for kids to opt out of books pushing cishet views & normalization, why should there be an opt out for non sexualized LGBTQ+ books?

Climate change really is so brutal, particularly to people with less income. An emergency kit is a luxury when you're struggling to pay rent. If you have a yard, preventative tree care isn't cheap either. I need to dig around for emergency prep guides that are friendly to the wallet and share...

Was it a Western MD or an Eastern shore county or somewhere else? I know there's conservative extremists spread throughout the state (and "keeping the confederacy alive" in some counties) but would love to know which county took this particular dive off the deep end.

Yes! I started doing this as a teen, essentially happily engaging with me in my reflection. Smiles, silly faces, finger guns with a compliment or a joke & a laugh. It really helped me to like myself and want to be me, even when external factors said otherwise. Try to love yourself unconditionally!
