I'm sure it would be. Didn't see them live in that combination but did see Silly Wizard a few times and once worked with Phil and his brother Johnnie back in my sound engineer days. Extraordinarily good.

One of my favourite folk albums. Andy's voice is iconic, Phil was always magnificent, and Manus was really growing into his talent at that point.

A striking image. It's a long time since I last worked in Black & White but I'd have been very happy to take this. The weight of ice must be enormous - must be a very strong old tree to withstand it.

One of my godson's two cats, (sisters), suddenly started doing that a little while after he moved in with me. Did it regularly for about 8 months and then stopped. The other one never had the slightest interest.

Superb. Has a definite feel of Ansel Adams about it.

Not that near Edinburgh - that's the Wallace monument in the distance so this is Stirling.

I always knew it a "textured glass", which was the name Pilkington Glass used for it (my dad was a manager at a glass and aluminium company and they were the main supplier in UK). There are many different types so some may have specific names such as hammered but this was the overall name they used.

Glad to have been of help. Their interface can sometimes do odd things (doesn't like my pen and tablet) but they've done some excellent work combining old and new, and digitising a wealth of old maps.

Library of Scotland site. https://maps.nls.uk/ They have a superb collection of old maps (UK as well as Scotland) which you can often view as layers or side-by-side and I think you can select a current OS layer in some of the options.

If you can justify the cost a VPN that allows you to appear as if from a UK ip address (or indeed many other locations) is very useful and would allow you to see the OS versions.
Don't know if you're interested in only modern maps or if historical ones are also of interest but try the National /2

2/ at appropriate magnifications you can select the OS maps option. At different zooms you get the 1:50,000 and then the 1:25,000 which has wonderful detail and should include rights of way.

Hadn't been aware of that map system so thanks for that. Howevr I don't see a rights of way switch either - only the rather useless layers which blot out everything else. However there may be an alternative if you have access to a VPN. If you're seen as being in the UK you can use Bing maps and /2

Q5 - needs a 3rd option - It Depends.
If we get more users, and if I see more of my favourite topics and communities moving over then yes I wold probably pay for add-free and more features.

I was lucky with this one - it's right outside my house. Think it's an old chopping block. These fungi only ever appeared one year since I've been here, just for a few days, and I was really lucky with the light.
Just two weeks ago the now rotting stump collapsed.
