People if you go to a hotel and leave the room wrecked the least you can do is leave a tip for the person who has to come in behind you and clean up after you.

P.S. Also be mindful of the fact that summer is our busy season.

Say you are an adult who doesn't trash a hotel room- what do you and your colleagues consider an appropriate tip? I've always wondered!

And thank you for all that you do! 💜

For me personally I'm grateful for whatever I get and sometimes that can be just a couple of dollars. Anything $5 and up is always appreciated though. Also sometimes just stopping and letting the staff know they are appreciated goes a long way. Words can be very uplifting after cleaning 12 rooms.

Honestly $5 seems too low. I always thought $10 per day but wondered if that was enough (and I don't stay in the expensive fancy hotels) - but I will remember to thank the staff when I see them too. Thank you!!
