Not about me per se, but my mom used to be a model and my dad (who left when I was less than a year old) was a pro 🏈 player.

My aunt & uncle got us a dog that came from Spahn Ranch after the Manson family went to prison. She was very sweet but untrained so she was pretty wild - & stayed that way. She was a jumper. We had a big back yard at the time, so she had lots of room to run; she lived out there. It was a weird time.

My uncle was a community organizer for Cesar Chavez. He lived at the compound with my aunt & my 2 young cousins. They had me come babysit so I spent a summer there babysitting & going to rallies. They got married there also, traditional Italian wedding. Made homemade ravioli for 3 days. Was lit!

I once helped Rona Barrett, the gossip columnist, with a book club order. The book was on back order. She was nicer than I expected.

I got completely paralyzed from the neck down in 1995, at the age of 20. Miraculously, I made a full recovery. Went on to finish my degree, become a lawyer, and father two children.

When I was younger, I was really into high-energy sports. I was a provincial contender in youth swimming, I was 2 credits shy of my lifeguard certificate.
So, being able to push 400 lbs with my legs, I've been stopped 3 times for speeding on a peddle bike.

Our High School Band was invited and marched in the 1969 Rose Bowl Parade. One of the perks was a free ticket to the college football game at the Rose Bowl, which was attended by one of the greatest comedians of all time, Bob Hope. I was lucky enough to have shook his hand that day.

I got lost in the middle of Ecuador at 3 in the morning and found myself face to face with a man in a bullet proof vest and an Uzi. He didn't speak English and I didn't speak Spanish and I thought for a few moments that I was going home in a body bag, if I was ever found.

When I was born (1971), I had a living great great grandmother (missed having a 2nd by 2 months) and 6 living great grandparents. The oldest was born in 1882. I have to go to my 3rd greats to get to older than 1854.

As a kid I got to play on Muhammad Ali's lawn. He even invited us kids inside and showed us his home. He had a phone in the bathroom, which I'd never seen before, even at hotels, which kept us kids buzzing for days!

Found a liter of kittens in a closet of a house that was on fire. I stuffed them into the various pockets of my firefighting gear to get them out. Four of five made it.
