thread 1/1
Some of you want to know why it is taking so long for us to release our iOS app. We had to fix several bugs and performance issues, which were resolved. However, the last sticking point is our monetization button for users. Apple wants us to use their in-app payment feature or remove it.

Thank you for the detailed follow up! No other developer has ever done this to my knowledge. I will patiently wait as I have confidence that the final product will be great!

Me thinks Apple understands the monitization button just fine. They just want a cut of even our tips to each other.

the antitrust commission of the EU sends a Statement of Objections to Apple: " The Commission's preliminary view is that Apple's dominant position in the market for mobile wallets on its operating system iOS, restricts competition, by reserving access to NFC technology to Apple Pay."

Ironically, Apple's care and rules are what keeps me on their devices versus Android. Android gathers over 10 x the data iOS does - and Google sells the data.

I am content to wait.

I think Apple will continue to push for the in-app purchase option. That would be unfortunate. But I think the app itself will be great for us iOS users.

Is this just the user profile monetization button? Or both user and Spoutible donations? Either way I doubt there's a way around it, probably have to accept it

Since I just posted something about the iOS app, I just want to state any spouts I post related to the iOS app are purely sarcasm/joking. I’m quite content using the browser on both my iPhone and iPad.

Seems like Apple wants to profit off the monetization feature, as they get a percentage of every in-app purchase...

Is there a way you can get around this requirement?
