2) Some users have security settings set to not allow new accounts to reply until the account is a certain number of days old. That number varies among users. Some people don’t use the security feature at all, so you will be able to reply. If you get an error, you can reply by using a quote spout.

Welcome Brian!

A like lets the OP no you like their post. An echo goes to your followers only; also called a pod. A quote spout goes to everyone; to the explore timeline. A comment is only seen by those who read that post. A comment is only made visible when echoed or QS’d.

Explore is where the party happens.
Follow people who are interesting to you.
If you are interesting, people will follow you back.
You are the algorithm.
Have fun!

Another way is use the #search on the left side of screen. Example #SpoutArt or #SpoutingClassics which is a fun all music thing. Also #DailyPictureTheme . Or #WritingCommunity . Explore and have fun. Engagement is a huge key. Have fun and, again, welcome!

Welcome, Brian! There’s no algorithm on your timeline so you curate what appears there based on who you follow. Go to EXPLORE (the compass icon) to see all spouts and to SEARCH for people with similar interests.

We’re a friendly bunch so just spout out if you have any questions.

how much time you got?

Just kidding. Glad you are here. Basically, the more accounts you follow the more varied your timeline will be. One easy way, is pick a spout you like, go to that person's page, click followers. Then you can see individual accounts that you might like.

You’ve spouted so you’re halfway there. Follow some people, interact with spouts.

Have fun and welcome 👋🏼
