Good article but in all the moralist ruminations about the Bomb, why are the fire raids over Tokyo ignored?
More people died there than the target of atomic weapons.
Literal fire hurricanes killed thousands.
The only difference was one plane, one bomb vs hundreds of planes and thousands of bombs.

Well, one guess is that these were only the first bombs and potential nuclear destruction has grown tremendously since to the point it threatens life on Earth.
