Spoutible supports the LGBTQ+ community, and several transgender accounts have spouted pictures documenting their transition process without issue. That has nothing to do with porn.

Basically, Spoutible is pro-human. The calculation is pretty clear. Racists, bigots, supremacists, extremists, and all their ilk need not apply.

I can understand not wanting to have porn on the website but I do think you should reconsider your stance on "links to adult content." I know that @courtneymilan has brought up some valid concerns about romance novels, but a lot of queer & disabled people are sex workers because of discrimination...

...in the job market and society in general. If people aren't allowed to even talk about this, this site is not safe for a lot of disabled and queer people, not to mention romance/erotica authors and book reviewers.

I responded earlier politely to a sex worker who felt discriminated against and she blocked me. Whilst I understand that some people may be sensitive around this and the two are not synonymous I DO NOT want to see any type of links or sex or porn or anything like that on here.

I'm a trans person and I would very much appreciate a platform devoid of sexual content. The internet is chock full of that. I'm not against it. I just think there's a time and a place. And I'd prefer if my main information feed was SFW without having to constantly mute people.

Exactly being LGBT is NOT synonymous with sex work or wanting the ability to promote personal sex related worksites. The implications are insulting and continues the use of old tropes about the community. I voted on this policy and fully support the decision to not have adult content.

Folks, Adult content doesn't always mean porn. It means the freedom of talking about topics others may not want to join in on, and having the ability to warn others and give them a chance to CONSENT to seeing the information/artwork, etc.

I mentioned in another thread, a solution to this, that eliminates the need to tag, and also hides such content unless people choose to opt in. There is a whole community of folks being left out that have no place to go. Including content creators, toy designers, not just sex workers.

Chris, people who want to use this platform to promote sex work are going to keep pushing the boundaries. They'll try to shave nuance in there, believing they can wear you down until you revise the policy. Please don't do that.

Say what you mean, and mean what you say.

I’m trying to find out what is going on and am clueless. Why are some stating they don’t feel welcomed here? What does it have to do with porn? Can you help?

@cbouzy - I think there's room to allow people to link to outside sites promoting their work as long as sexually suggestive / explicit pictures aren't ending up in Explore. There could be a NSFW filter for such posts so that Explore remains safe to check in public, but marginalized people are okay.

And let's also acknowledge two things:

1. Sexual content on a platform is incredibly risky for the platform. There are issues related to financial backing, access to banking, potential illegal content, etc. It can be difficult to mitigate that risk with a thousand employees, much less a small tea
