Literally, no one has had their account suspended because of adult content, but if you go to Twitter, you would think we were burning books and banning sex workers. I even saw a tweet with someone claiming we are banning pride flags. It reeks of coordination.

I'm not part of a coordinated campaign. I'm a person who knows people who can't afford food without sharing links to their adult content on Twitter because that's the only way they can make money. If this is to be the Twitter replacement, these folks deserve to be free from hate & harassment too.

I’d love to know how wide spread the problem of not being able to share pornography on the internet causing starvation really is. Eye roll.

It's not all that widespread. It's disproportionately disabled people living in state-enforced poverty, many of whom are also trans or otherwise queer. Indie creators who have no other means of support and no one promoting them.

And "adult" ≠ "porn," but @cbouzy isn't willing to have that convo.

By the way, hi. I'm autistic, mentally ill, physically disabled, and bedbound. I spend my time on Disability Twitter because there's not a large contingent of disabled people here yet. And the condescension and dismissiveness I'm facing when trying to inform y'all of other people's realities is why.

They probably shouldn't be basing their entire business model on a site that didn't exist 2 weeks ago then.
