Back from a four-day camping trip in the Mt. Hood National Forest. Here's a photo of Lost Lake with Mt. Hood in the background. I'll add some food pics in a thread, because ours is not typical for American camping.

For cooking/drinking? Nooo. This campground is well-developed and has potable water, but I always bring several gallons of filtered water from home.

What's the toilet situation?

Because we have drop down toilets at our camping grounds (if any). Don't go in summer because the flies are aplenty @bron1us will run screaming! And always bring your loo roll.

Most Oregon campgrounds have vault (or pit) toilets (drop down toilets?), but they're well maintained. Plenty of toilet paper and, yes, flies. Sometimes air fresheners. 😄

One place we camp at has heated bathrooms with electricity and flush toilets, but it gets very cold there at night.
