Great list. Reminds me of me in that I have several books going at the same time. For me, nonfiction in the morning (currently: Four Views on Free Will by 4 authors I can’t fit in this reply & Building a Storybrand by David Miller), & fiction in the evening (The Secret History by Donna Tartt).

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin. About creative process in the gaming world (which I didn't know much about) with three fascinating main characters. Brilliant and still with me weeks later.

I've just finished If I Die Before I Wake by Emily Koch. I was totally enthralled by it. Admittedly it had an extra element for me because it is set in the city I live in but even without that I think it has a great story.

“Totally enthralled” …beautiful words for an author to hear. Wonderful. And how cool to maybe recognize your city as you read. Cheers.

I’m currently reading The Wild Hunt by Emma Seckel for book club. It’s okay but I want it to be something more than what it is.

Yes. I know the feeling. I have found that some books surprise me, eventually, giving me more than I originally thought was coming. Other times, a book does not… even when, for others, it’s considered wonderful. And that’s okay, :).

Don’t you just love the satisfaction of finishing a good book… and the anticipation of a new one? Rarely, is there much of a gap between them :)

Cool. Yes, balance is good. It is for this reason that I read both fiction and nonfiction. Often, one is much heavier than the other …and we need a break from heaviness every now and again.

Currently slogging through The Quarry Girls by Jess Lourey. I was in the mood for a thriller. It was an Editor's pick but I'm just not "feeling" this book. Next up is Goldie Taylor's "The Love You Save". Goldie has always been my "go-to" for politics and elections here in Atlanta and Georgia.

Excellent. Yes, sometimes a book somebody else loved is not for us. Oh well, so be it, but don’t we always know that a stack of books is waiting alongside us…
