I feel like I spend so much time reiterating/arguing with people who just don’t understand what it’s like to be chronically ill/disabled and sick all the time from my meds and they just expect I can “buck up” and go be social.

Not only that but we are in a pandemic and I’m vulnerable!

In the same boat since my early 20s. I’ll be 60 this year. People who haven’t been there will never get it.

Just say no and leave it at that. If they truly care about you they will understand. If not, you don't need the anyway.

Just want you to know that I hear you and have a great deal of compassion for your chronic illness. 💜

After I went on disability I went shopping in the store I used to work at. The amount of people who asked when I was going to come back to work because I looked better was ridiculous. Yeah I look better. I was using a walker so I was walking more and lost weight. Not pushing my body past its limits
